Overall Feelings
I keep feeling better every day! I don't struggle with much pain at this point. However, I will feel some pain from time to time while standing still.
This was the week that I was able to turn my brace to 30 degrees. I felt pain while walking and sitting the first day of being at 30 degrees. After that I felt fine though!
Physical Therapy
This may be a shocker to you, but I love going to physical therapy! I go 2 times a week, and I have a great physical therapist; all thanks to The Lord. My exercises consist of dangling my legs over a table, calf raises, high knee hold, heel slides, ankle pumps, quad flexes, and straight leg raises. I am unable to do straight leg raises on my own. I use a rope to help my leg up. I do these exercises at physical therapy and 3 times a day at home!
NOTE: If you get MPFL reconstruction, you will NEED physical therapy! This isn't the time to skip out on the physical therapy. Trust me!
Activity Level
I am able to stand longer than what I could, so I can walk around a store for a while without feeling too much pain. My brace is constantly falling off though, so that gets frustrating having to bend over and put it back on again. Needless to say, I am able to do a lot more now than what I could. That is why I am so late to post this blog post!
